Hollywood Dream

What’s with all this rain? I think we can do without some for a while, don’t you?

The cover for Hollywood Dream is looking great!  Especially the picture, isn’t she gorgeous? The person doing the layout is my very talented son, owner of Leeworlds where they make worlds for computer games as well as the games and motion pictures.

Finally figured out how to get the pictures to show in the Blog. Tutorials are a good thing to read.

Let me know what you think of it.

Dreamer's Paradise is being revised with the comments from one of the Beta Readers. The other two readers have not reported in yet on what they thought of it. Hopefully, they will before too long. I would like to see their comments as well before we consider it ready for publication.

Construction of the other book covers is now underway. The graphic arts team has some wonderful ideas for each of them. As they give me the go ahead on one of their mock-ups, I will post it on Facebook. It is a shame that this blog company doesn’t allow pictures to be posted along with the Blog. I keep trying and it keeps not showing them.

Revision is the plans for this week. How do you revise your writing?  Do you do it as you go along or are you able to turn off that inner editor and just write until you are done?  I find myself after writing for so long going back and editing what I wrote. This makes for a slow process in getting the story down, that is why I am trying harder not to do it.

What do you do? Edit as you go or wait until it is all finished?  Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Until next time, happy writing!

This has been a productive week.  Guess the wife being gone has something to do with it.  E-Books one and two are done.

Dreamer's Paradise is out to the Beta Readers and awaiting their responses before I decide to upload them to Amazon and B&N.

Second one, She Rises at Dawn was re-written yesterday because I didn’t like the first and next to last chapters. I feel it much better now with that accomplished.

It is really hot out!  What are you doing to keep cool?  Or are you one of those that like to get out there and sweat?

Please leave us a message down below and tell us what you are doing.  Swimming?  Writing?

Or are you just lying around on the couch being a television veggie?

All that is really left on the first two e-Books is for my son (who is my partner at Leeworlds - which is actually his company, but my money, ha ha) to get the covers done. We have not really decided on these two covers yet.

What is funny though, I have completed the mock up of the cover for Hollywood Dream, which he is touching up.

Maybe by the time we hear back from the Beta Readers, we will have the cover finished.

Okay, it is getting close to 90 degrees outside and it is only 10:20 on Wednesday the 8th.

What are your plans?  Let us all know as some may want to copy what you are doing to relax as well.

See you next week. And please don’t be afraid to leave a message. The message board is awful lonely.

Summer is finally here job wise that is and looks/feels like weather as well. Plans for this summer are to get several e-books published.

I have four stories that I want to get formatted into e-books. Of course this will be a first for me, as I have not set up e-books before.  Am hoping that I can get them on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other places so that all users of e-book readers can download them and read them. Of course I plan selling them at .99 cents when possible, unless the site doesn't allow for that, then it will be the lowest cost they allow.

First will be Dreamer's Paradise about a young girl that meets a boy who she thought was the best thing for her.

Second one is She Rises at Dawn. This follows a female private detective in Chicago as she tries to solve the mystery of the missing wife.

Third will be the All in the Family Cruise. Someone is killing off the members of a special group on their all-expense paid cruise.

Fourth will be Hollywood Dream. This is a story about a girl from the mid-west that goes to Hollywood to be a star and ends up being a hooker with a murderous hooker friend. Will good life find our young mid-western or not?

These are my plans for the summer. I hope to have the first one in a couple of weeks, but may take a little longer depending on my learning the skill of making them into e-books.

If you know anything about making ePub books please let me know. I have been told this is the format they have to be in to fit all the e-book readers out there.

Okay, now it is your turn, leave a message below telling us what your summer plans are, so we can wish we were doing that too.

Have a great summer!
