I started a new Blog last week and as I neared the end, the computer wiped it out. Now to try again, but this time with a different thought instead.

Have you ever thought about what it is you want to do before you go? I don't mean write the next great novel, but what is it that you really want?

A family, home, fancy car, a companion hanging on your arm, or just a life full of laughter and drunken nights.

Maybe you want to travel and see the world. Some of it is quite beautiful and most is not.

I have been around the world and really don't feel like doing that again.

Maybe I want to just sit here and watch the sun rise in the morning and set at night. Would be better if I lived on a lake where the view would be better.

How about living without pain, no more soreness from the old wounds, or even the arthritis that is setting into these old bones. Maybe to just hear the birds sing again.

But most of all, it would be nice to just look you in the eyes and see the sky, and look at your smile and see into your heart. To know that you will always be there to brighten up my day and to warm up my nights.

What if I write that great novel, who will benefit?  Not me, that is for sure. Most likely the only way it will be publish is if one of the kids decided to pursue it after I am long gone.

So how about you?  Have You Thought?

What is it that you want? Is there that one thing, or more, that you want done before you leave?

Have You Thought?

Recently, I watched The Bucket List. It was a nice show and that is coming from a guy that does not watch a lot of movies. I am not sure if I would want to make a list. For sure don't want to travel anymore and have to fight the security at all the airports.

Have you made a list like they did in the movie? Have you started to mark things off?

If not, why?   Are you going to get around to it?  If you are young don't wait. Start now!

Have You Thought?

It is time. Sit down and think!

Then leave a comment telling us what it is you thought about and the decisions you made.

We promise not to laugh, but to listen carefully.

Go ahead, click below and leave a comment.

See you,

John

I love this blog. Mine is very similiar. I also enjoyed the Bucket List. As of right now, at age 31 I have 3. To get my stories published. Procrastinating due to fear of failure. I know, I know I need to start leaping in that direction instead of inching along. Second is to visit Niagara Falls and thirdly is to visit Wales. I love genealogy and have a lot of Welsh lines. But I often sit and think and It's glad to see I'm not the only one out there.

I have thought about my grandparents that died in the 1960's and 70's and never saw the world as it is now. I wonder what they would think about all the computers, cell phones, 9-11, the wars and all the fighting going on. I have come to the conclusion that they were better off living the time that they did - where you could go to the grocery store and leave your house unlocked, leave the keys in your car, etc. I don't think they would like this world as we have it right now. And as far as that bucket list goes --- well, I've got one started and I hope I finish everything on it and live to tell my grandkids about each and every thing on that list and exactly how i did it and why.
