This week started off with a new experience.

My oldest son decided it was time to take one of his cows to the slaughterhouse.

I had never been to one before. There were sure enough cows there. Was told Monday is cow day and Wednesday is hog day.

When I was young, I watched my uncle cut the horns off of a cow. The blood shot out like a strong water hose stream and then slowly start to fall until it stopped. I saw him put a hog in the enormous pot to cook it. But that is all the experience I had around farm animals until my son bought his first calf and I had to bottle feed it a few times. No, it was not the one we took up there Monday.

Two weeks ago, I took part in webinar on writing twitter pitches.

Surprising since then, I have been receiving emails from Pinterest on all kinds of articles about writing. Seems like there is a pin from many on whatever writing you want to do. If I were to read every one of them, I would get nothing else done.

Do you get these pins, too?

Been working on a recent version of one novel. Still need about 24,000 words to get it up to the word count they all want for thrillers.

Seems to me, and others that I have seen commenting on it, that if a story comes to a good conclusion before reaching the magical amount of words it should be okay. But I guess not.

Back at it tomorrow, since we can’t go anywhere.

How are you doing during this time of having to stay in or being very careful around people?
